General Meeting Minutes

This topic provides a common reference to all Annual General (AGM), Special General (SGM), and other General Meeting minutes as well as their associated Notice of Meeting.  Within the archive these minutes have been aggregated into annual lots, the same process ued for the minutes of the Board of Management.

 

Annual General Meetings are the minimum legal period required under the Western Australian Associations Incorporation Act. These meetings also incorporate the receipt of the Annual Report which includes the club’s audited accounts and the Board member’s reports.

 

Special General Meetings are conducted to enable the club's members to vote on urgent special resolutions such as constitutional change and to approve club expenditure that is outside the constitutional limits of the Board.

 

In the earlier years of the club's existence General Meetings were conducted using the title Half Yearly General Meetings or simply General Meetings. The primary purpose of these was to elect the following year's incoming Board members. This provided incumbent Board members with an induction period before they formally took office.

Copies of the minutes in the archive are all provided in pdf format.

 

1967 to 2002: Copies of minutes are only available as hardcopy documents. These hardcopy documents have been scanned to create the pdf file. It is not possible to digitally search the content of these scanned pdf files. These database records are classified as Document – Hardcopy.

 

2002 onwards: Copies of minutes are mostly available as digital documents. If the source file was digital then these has been saved as a searchable pdf file. These database records are classified as Document – Digital.
