GENERAL MEETINGS 1975
1975Four General Meetings were held in 1975.
The proceedings of the Annual General Meeting on 27th February included:
- Management reports are referenced as being received, but the minutes do not contain them as such. Refer to the Annual Report 1975.
- Various general discussion:
- Course fertiliser
- Fairway couch grass and invasion by Sedge grass and clover on playing surfaces
- Reticulation
The proceedings of the Semi-General Meeting on 24th July included:
- Management reports were presented with all referring to the July 1975 newsletter for content except for the House Chairman’s report which appears in the minutes
- Approval of a motion to amend the constitution adjusting the cut-off date for payment of all fees to the 1st of April prior to the member being struck-off the membership roll.
The Special General Meeting on 27th November was conducted to address three motions:
The General Meeting on 27th November was conducted immediately following the previous Special General Meeting. This meeting was primarily for the Appointment and Election of Office Bearers and Councillors for 1976. General discussion followed including:
- Various operational matters relating to golf operation and course management.
- Information from the Course Chairman that alterations to the 17th and 18th holes was due to commence on 1st December 1975.
- A proposal that fairway bunkering be introduced to the course.
- A proposal that the Council consider the employment of a qualified Greenkeeper to which the President replied was already being considered.
- A proposal that a bar levy of $15 be introduced which was rejected.
The minutes have been scanned from the hardcopy book covering the period 1967 to 1985 (Item 2023.94).
