GENERAL MEETINGS 1988

Two General Meetings were held in 1988.

The proceedings of the Annual General Meeting conducted on 31st March included:

• Written reports follow up from the President, Captain, Treasurer, Course and House
• Consideration of a Notice of Motion by Mr A. M. Brice to grant Life Membership to the other six Founders who had not previously been honoured. The motion was lost after discussions.
• Various General Business
• The President then presented a list of future club priorities before closing the meeting.

The proceedings of the General Meeting on 24th November included:

• The elections for Directors of Course and House
• Setting of fees for 1989.
• General Business included:
• The Captain addressing a series of issues
• The President addressing several issues including the renewal of the club’s lease, a claim against the previous club auditors, and clubhouse extensions
• Statements and questions from various club members
