GENERAL MEETINGS 2017

One General Meeting was held in 2017.

The proceedings of the Annual General Meeting conducted on 30th March included:

• Receipt of the reports from all the Board members
• Receipt of the audited accounts for the past year.
• The Board positions for Directors of Finance, House, Course and Lady Members were elected unopposed.
• Members of Management Committees were elected unopposed. No nominations were received for the House, Match and Juniors Committees.
• An Obligatory Ballot was conducted to approve the purchase of a solar power system – Carried.
• Special Resolutions to amend the Constitution were considered to:
• Allow 9 hole senior members to vote at the Ladies Annual Meeting – Carried
• Change when an Obligatory ballot might occur – Carried
• Change definitions to align better with accounting procedure – Carried
• Change a reference to ‘male members’ to ‘fellow members’ – Carried
• Introduce a Special Purpose Member to allow the Board to trial new categories and structures - Carried
• In General Business questions from Mike Glasson (Food and Beverage benchmarking) and Jess Spencer (Non Refundable Capital Contribution) were addressed.
