GENERAL MEETINGS 1977

Three General Meetings were held in 1977.

The proceedings of the Annual General Meeting on 24th February included:

• Reports from the Treasurer, President, Match and House
• Introduction of new elected Officers and Councillors

The proceedings of the Semi-Annual General Meeting on 28th July included:

• Reports from the Presidents, which notes that the “Lodge” (Caretaker’s Cottage) has been completed and architect’s plans have been requested for clubhouse extensions (kitchen and public toilets), Treasurer, Captain, and Course.
• The consideration of a motion to cease the club’s involvement in the Associated Golf Clubs Pennants to allow fuller course usage by members. The President ruled the motion “out of order” but allowed discussion on the topic before closing and advising that serious consideration would be given to the request.
• A recommendation to give a name to each hole on the course.

The proceedings of the Semi-Annual General Meeting on 1st December included:

• A motion to increase subscription fees was approved
• Appointment and Election of Office Bearers and Councillors for 1978
• Various General Discussion
