GENERAL MEETINGS 1991

Two General Meetings were held in 1991.

The proceedings of the Annual General Meeting conducted on 26th March included:

• The report by the Director of Finance was received after several questions from members.
• Fees for 1991 were confirmed.
• Reports from Match, Course and House were received with a few questions.
• A motion by R. Taylor that all future greens be turfed from a nursery was lost.
• A motion from P. Symons regarding the rights of incoming Board members was lost.
• In General Business:
• The Transferrable Membership Category required Constitution changes prior to introduction.
• Various quotations for the clubhouse alterations and extensions were presented and discussed with financing of the project to be determined.
• A motion by J. H. Cook that Mr C. B. Wildy be given Life Membership was approved.

The proceedings of the General Meeting on 19th November included:

• The elections for the President, Captain, and Director of Finance
• A motion by V. Charnock that funds from the Transferrable Membership Category be placed in a trust fund was carried.
• The proposal for clubhouse extensions/alterations was discussed and lost.
• Various General Business ensued.
