GENERAL MEETINGS 2011

Two General Meetings were held in 2011.

The minutes of the Annual General Meeting conducted on 31st March are not available. The attachment includes the Notice of Meeting and the meeting “running sheet” for reference. The running sheet shows that several Special Resolutions were considered during the meeting.

The Special General Meeting conducted on 12th May was called to consider a motion from member Ron Connors ‘That plans to re-develop the 15th hole … be abandoned’.

At this point in time the golf course was undergoing alterations based on recommendations in a Course Master Plan prepared by Ross Watson Golf Designs (refer to item 2021.17). One of the recommendations was to shorten the length of the par 4 15th hole by approximately 80 to 100 metres. This change was opposed by many members which led to the motion by Ron Connors.

The meeting generated considerable debate involving several members and Board representatives.

The motion was ultimately defeated.
