GENERAL MEETINGS 1978

Three General Meetings were held in 1978.

The proceedings of the Annual General Meeting on 9th March included:

• Reports from the President, Course, Match (mentioning that the club hosted the State Mixed Foursomes and State Amateur Championships) and House
• The resignation of Club Professional, Richard Brain and the appointment of Roy Draddy
• Various General Business

The proceedings of the Semi-Annual General Meeting on 27th July included:

• Reports from the Captain (who promoted the introduction of the Champion of Champions event), House, Treasurer and Course.
• Recent completion of clubhouse extensions within budget
• Miscellaneous business

The proceedings of the Special General Meeting on 7th December included:

• A motion to increase subscription fees was approved
• Appointment and Election of Office Bearers and Councillors for 1979
• A report from the Captain with miscellaneous interactions
• Course design changes by Astra Asian course Consultants were explained by the President
• The Course Chairman’s report generated considerable discussion
