GENERAL MEETINGS 2001

Two General Meetings were held in 2001.

The 2001 Fees appear in the minute book.

The proceedings of the Annual General Meeting conducted on 28th March included:

• Mr L. Palmer provided a report on the clubhouse redevelopment’s progress.
• Reports from all the Board members and General Manager were received.
• Appointments of the Vice Captain, and Directors of Finance, Course and House and members of management committees were conducted, all as sole nominees.
• A motion by L. Swain and S. Pabst “That the Pro Shop be able to collect vouchers from the members in lieu of money for purchases …” lapsed due to Mr Pabst’s absence and the want of a seconder.
• Various General Business ensued.

The proceedings of the Special General Meeting conducted on 6th December included:

• Consideration of motions to alter the Constitution by:
• Adding a House Member category
• Alter the age of Junior Membership from 21 to 18
• Board member be elected for terms of two years
• A motion to establish an additional loan of $240,000 to support the club’s cash position after over-expenditure on the recently completed clubhouse refurbishment.
• A motion to introduce a non-refundable capital contribution from 2002 on a sliding scale for the various membership categories ranging from $55 to $165.

All motions were passed except for the House Membership category.
