GENERAL MEETINGS 2023

One General Meeting was held in 2023.

The proceedings of the Annual General Meeting conducted on 23rd March included:

• Receipt of the reports from all the Board members.
• The audited accounts for the past year were received. Mr Russell noted that the year’s result was a record result for the club. The purchase of the new reticulation system was paid in cash from surpluses in the years 2020 to 2022. Questions from Mike Glasson were answered by Mr Russell who also offered to follow up with more clarification.
• The Board positions for Directors of Course, Finance and Lady Members were elected unopposed. The Director of House failed to attract nominations and was to be dealt with as a Casual Vacancy by the Board.
• Members of Management Committees appointments were completed for Course, Ladies, and Match unopposed. No nominations were received for the Finance, House, and Membership and Marketing Committees.
• Two Special Resolutions to amend the Constitution were considered and carried:
• Definitions for Standing and Select Sub Committees
• Removal of Premium Booking charge
• Other Business generated discussion on the availability of Fixture Books at the season start, course setup for handicapping purposes, obligations of members in a private club, and the positioning of bunker rakes. The President responded to the issue of bunker rakes and proposed a survey of members to resolve the matter.
