GENERAL MEETINGS 2024

One General Meeting was held in 2024.

The proceedings of the Annual General Meeting conducted on 21st March included:

• Receipt of the reports from the President and Director of Finance.
• Receipt of the audited accounts for the past year. Finance Director, Mr Russell noted that whilst the reported surplus was a good result he stressed the importance that the club is still operating with only a small capital surplus.
• The Board positions for President, Vice President and Captain were elected unopposed. The Vice Captain position had two nominations with Anne Ward winning the subsequent election.
• Member elections to Management Committees for Course, Finance, House and Social, Lady Members, Match, and Membership and Marketing were completed unopposed.
• Five Special Resolutions to amend the Constitution were considered and carried:

1. Process for the expulsion of a member
2. Board funds borrowing limit without member approval redefinition
3. The Director of House & Social position abolishment
4. Broadening the pool of candidates for Management Committees
5. Broadening the pool of eligible applicants for the Board

• Other Business concerning:
• A motion to recognise Foundation Members as Honorary members was not considered due to the current rules specified in the Constitution
• COVID vaccination By-Laws
• Hole in One Policy
• Distribution of competition fee monies
• Playing difficulty of the light rough beside fairways
• Proposed replacement of path outside clubhouse
