BENCH HOOK
1930Flat rectangular piece of pine board with a piece 2 by ¾ inch board fixed by dowels across the ends. These are opposite ends and one on top and one underneath.
Made by Mr Vernon Marsh of Armadale State School, Third Road Armadale. Project completed between the ages of 11 and 13. Armadale State School was the only school in the Southern Corridor to have a manual arts facility. An example of Manual Arts projects conducted in the late 1920's in schools to develop hand skills for future use in employment.
