Flat piece of pine rectangular in section with three grooves cut across the length and inlaid with a different wood.
There is an Education Department sticker on the back.

Historical information

Woodworking model made by Mr Vernon Marsh of Armadale State School, Third Road Armadale. Item made between the ages of 11 and 13. At the time, the school had the only manual arts facilities in the Southern Corridor. An example of Manual Arts projects conducted in the late 1920's in schools to develop hand skills for future use in employment.
