History House explores the social history of the City of Armadale and how its past has created the community that exists today. The collection represents the stories of local residents, organisations, events, places and businesses.
History House was formed by the Armadale Kelmscott Historical Society in 1976. In 2003 the City of Armadale took over the management of the museum. The museum offers a variety of exhibitions, public programs and educational programs to help tell the history of the City of Armadale.

Collection overview
The collection was started by the Armadale Kelmscott Historical Society and focussed on how people lived and worked in the local district from 1830 to the 1950s. In 2003 the collection was transferred to the City of Armadale who took over the management of the collection. The museum continues to collect items that tell the story of the City of Armadale and the people, businesses and organisations that have helped to create the community that exists today.
