Overview

Flat piece of pine rectangular in section with a half inch hole drilled near each end. The long edge is bevelled and the reverse edge is relieved toward each end.

Historical information

Woodworking model made by Mr Vernon Marsh of Armadale State School, Third Road Armadale. Made between the ages of 11 and 13. At the time, Armadale State School had the only manual arts facilities in the Southern Corridor. An example of Manual Arts projects conducted in the late 1920's in schools to develop hand skills for future use in employment.
