Overview

One compartment wooden box on a rectangular base with bevelled upper edges, where the sides protrude past the ends which fit into grooves and nailed .
There is a sticker on the base with printed text and sections that are to be filled in, in this case with penil and pen.

Historical information

Nail box made by Mr Vernon Marsh of Armadale State School, Third Road Armadale. Completed in 1928 at age 12. At the time, the school had the only manual arts facilities in the Southern Corridor. An example of Manual Arts projects conducted in the late 1920's in schools to develop hand skills for future use in employment.
