Royal Australian Air Force blue enamel sweetheart brooch
c. 1939World War Two era Royal Australian Air Force blue enamel sweetheart brooch. It features detailed outspread bright blue enamel pilot wings flanking a solid central wreath with the silver letters 'RAAF' on a red enamel background, surmounted by a King's Crown with red enamel detailing.
The reverse is plain silver tone metal and there is no maker's mark.
It has a metal pin clasp for attachment.
This sweetheart brooch is one of many produced and sold to servicemen to give to their loved ones during wartime.
