Overview

World War Two era Royal Australian Air Force blue enamel sweetheart brooch. It features detailed outspread bright blue enamel pilot wings flanking a solid central wreath with the silver letters 'RAAF' on a red enamel background, surmounted by a King's Crown with red enamel detailing.
The reverse is plain silver tone metal and there is no maker's mark.
It has a metal pin clasp for attachment.

Historical information

This sweetheart brooch is one of many produced and sold to servicemen to give to their loved ones during wartime.
