Overview

World War Two era Royal Australian Air Force diamonte and enamel sweetheart brooch.
It features detailed outspread pilot wings with inlaid diamonte chips flanking a solid central wreath containing the hollow letters 'RAAF' infilled with red, dark blue, white and pale blue enamel, surmounted by a King's Crown with red enamel detailing.
The reverse is plain and has a pin clasp for attachment.

This sweetheart brooch is one of many produced and sold to servicemen to give to their loved ones.
