Overview

World War Two era Royal Air Force gold tone and enamel sweetheart brooch.
It features detailed outspread pilot wings flanking a central solid wreath containing the gold letters 'RAF' on a circular blue enamel background, surmounted by a King's Crown with red enamel detailing.
The reverse is plain and it has a pin clasp for attachment.

Historical information

This sweetheart brooch is one of many produced and sold to servicemen to give to their loved ones during wartime.
