Overview

World War Two era Royal Air Force sterling silver sweetheart brooch.
It features detailed outspread pilot wings flanking a svoided central wreath containing the letters 'RAF', surmounted by a King's Crown.
The reverse of the brooch is plain with the exception of the words 'STERLING SILVER" impressed vertically into the right side of the back of the wreath.
It has a pin clasp for attachment.

Historical information

This sweetheart brooch is one of many produced and sold to servicemen to give to their loved ones during wartime.
