First World War Black and White Postcard of Sun Set on the Nile Cairo

c. 1915
Overview

A sepia-coloured artistic postcard showing three sailing boats on a river at sunset. On the edge of the river are a row of buildings and the sun is setting behind these. The sunlight reflects on the river in between the boats. There are clouds in the sky that again are lit by the setting sun. The image has a border which is larger at the bottom and the two top corners of the postcard are damaged. The reverse of the postcard has proforma printing and description of the image. There are large oil stains on this.
