Overview

A sepia-coloured artistic postcard showing various brick buildings on a dirt road that includes one with high thin ornate minaret. These buildings are differing sizes and designs and are alongside a water way with a bridge visible on the left of the image. Also pictured are two local men, each riding on a white mule looking directly towards the image taker. A carriage can also be seen in the street and there are trees and grass in the scene. The postcard is in very good condition, and the reverse has proforma printing and description of the image.

Historical information

This image is believed to be of Fayoum, Egypt featuring the Abdullah Bek Wabhi Mosque alongside the Bahr Yussef Canal.
