It has two copper lugs soldered to the reverse - one on each side of the propeller. - for attachment with a split pin to the uniform.
There is no maker's mark.
This insignia would have been one of a pair worn on the shoulder lapels of the uniform jacket of servicemen in the Koninklijk Nederlandsch-Indisch Leger (Royal Netherlands East Indies Army Air Force).
It is likely to have been made either locally or in allied countries including Australia.
