Royal Air Force pale blue enamel gold tone sweetheart brooch
c. 1939World War Two era Royal Air Force gold tone sweetheart brooch with pale blue enamel detailing.
It features outspread pilot wings with pale blue enamel flanking a solid central wreath containing the letters 'RAF', surmounted by a King's Crown with red enamel detailing.
The reverse of the brooch is plain although there may be a maker's or metal mark at the centre bottom. If so, it has worn away over time and is illegible.
It has a pin clasp for attachment.
This sweetheart brooch is one of many produced and sold to servicemen to give to their loved ones during wartime.
