Overview

World War Two era Royal Air Force gold tone and enamel sweetheart brooch.
It features detailed outspread pilot wings flanking a central wreath containing the letters 'RAF' with blue enamel interiors, surmounted by a King's Crown with red enamel detailing.
The reverse is plain and it has a pin clasp for attachment.

Historical information

This sweetheart brooch is one of many produced and sold to servicemen to give to their loved ones during wartime.

There are several gold tone and enamel Royal Air Force sweetheart brooches in the collection, but all are slightly different.
