c. 1939World War Two era Royal Air Force gold tone and enamel sweetheart brooch. It features detailed outspread gilded pilot wings flanking a voided central wreath containing the letters 'RAF', surmounted by a King's Crown.
Each letter is infilled with enamel - dark blue 'R', red 'A', and light blue 'F'.
The reverse is plain and has a pin clasp for attachment.
This sweetheart brooch is one of many produced and sold to servicemen to give to their loved ones during wartime.
