First World War Postcard of ‘Egyptian Types and Scenes - Native Woman’, Egypt

A black and white studio postcard depicting the upper part of a woman in local dress. She wears a lace headscarf that falls behind her shoulders. She has a long sleeve tunic in a dark striped fabric that is partially undone at the front. She has an ornate nose ring and a necklace of large beads that has gone around her neck 3 times. She also wears several bangles at each wrist. Her left arm is resting on either a stone or a chair back. The postcard has some damage with marks on the front and small stains on the back. The front is printed with a description of the image, and the reverse is a pale green colour with proforma printing.
