First World War Postcard of ‘Egyptian Types and Scenes - Arab Dancing Girls’, Egypt

A black and white studio postcard depicting a full-length picture two young girls dressed in tops and skirts wearing ornate necklaces and waistbands. Both girls have hair that is tied back and one is wearing drop earrings. They have ¾ length sleeves to their light-coloured tops and then each has a short waist coat over this top – one dark and one lighter. They each wear several necklaces both short and long, bangles on their arms and a waist band that has tassels hanging from it. They are standing in front of a studio backdrop of palm trees. The postcard has some damage to the bottom with a stain that can be seen primarily on the reverse. The front is printed with a description of the image, and the reverse is a cream colour with proforma printing.
