Raymond Parker WARBURTON was employed as an Electrical Engineer on board the ‘SS Pera’ (HMAT A4 Pera), a transport ship owned by P&O London, which was leased by the Commonwealth during the First World War. Raymond was employed on SS Pera between 1/12/1915, engaged in London and discharged on the 09/091917. In this photograph Raymond is pictured with three other crew members, name of each man is listed on the back. All men are in uniform and are seated with Raymond third from left an. They are all seated on a park bench in the Plaza Independencia, (Spanish for Independence Square), an historic square in Montevideo, Uruguay.
