He was listed as an Electrical Fitter and at his own request was discharged on the 17/08/1944. Previously, Raymond was a merchant seaman employed as an Electrical Engineer on 1/12/1915 in London. During the First World War he served on 2 transport ships, the HMAT Pera and the SS Shropshire. Raymond was discharged on the 13/06/1919 at Sydney, Australia.
