Oval shaped yellow metal lapel pin with royal crown atop. Blue enamel with words “Gallipoli Memorial Club” embossed on edging and strips of red, white and blue enamel in centre of pin. Screw clasp on back to secure to clothing and issue number of "2247".

Contextual information

A fundraising lapel pin as purchased by Raymond Parker WARBURTON. The Gallipoli Memorial Club was formed on the 05/09/1972 to preserve the principals of the Gallipoli Anzacs. Lapel pins, such as this one were part of the clubs fundraising projects.
The Club’s Creed “That within the community there exists an obligation for all to preserve the special qualities of loyalty, respect, love of country, courage and comradeship which were personified by the heroes of the Gallipoli Campaign and bequeathed to all humanity as a foundation of perpetual peace and universal freedom.”
