HARDANGER, MAT AND SERVIETTE RING
c. 1990 - 1999An apricot hardanger mat and serviette holder beautifully stitched.
Technique is usually white on white, so most unusual to have coloured hardanger pieces.
A. Serviette ring has been folded into a triangular shape, with hardanger kloster blocks.
b. Mat is rectangular with pointed edges and rectangular corners worked in buttonhole stitch. Bands of Hardanger kloster blocks in centre and satin stitch motifs.
