HARDANGER, RUNNER
This runner by Margaret Peacock, Guild member, tutor and Group Leader, illustrates contemporary hardanger hand embroidery, worked in colour - peach.
Down the centre there is a design of 11 diamonds outlined with 4 rows of backstitch, with 4 Kloster blocks in the centre. 5 blocks are worked with needleweave centre, 6 blocks have a birds-eye stitch centre.
The border is hemstitched with a band of Vandyke satin stitches.
