GENERAL EMBROIDERY, SACHET
One of a series of sachets and bags for accessories donated by Lettie Tamblyn, made by her and her mother, Jean Greenwood in Western Australia in early 1900s.
Rectangular linen sachet folds in half with a pocket inside each end. One pocket embroidered ‘Envelopes’ and the other end has no embroidery. On front flap is embroidered ’Forget-Me-Not’ in satin stitch surrounded by a spray of forget-me-not blue flowers embroidered in variegated stranded cotton.
The sachet is edged with blue cotton bias binding.
