BRODERIE ANGLAISE, DRESS

A Low waisted child’s dress with hand embroidered broderie anglaise skirt and inserted band at waist and centre front. Vertical centre front panel has a repeating circular pattern 25mm with Machine made frill on either side. Waistband formed from same insertion as centre front (77mm deep). Gently gathered into waistband is a hand embroidered skirt (188mm deep). Three rows of 6 petalled flowers, followed by groups of 4 larger flowers with small 6 petal flower in centre. Scroll of oval eyelets and finished with buttonhole edge. Two piece sleeve with short broderie anglaise frill at cuff. Deeper section of same lace pleated into neckline 35 mm deep. Secured at centre back with 2 mother of pearl buttons and tape tie at neckline. Name “E Price” in black ink on inside of button stand.
