“Australian Military Forces – Western Command. / Drill Hall, / Northam. / 15 Sept 41. / Mr. K.C. Mohr, / Koorda. / Dear Sir, / In reply to your letter of the 11 Sep 41, I have to advise that as you have been allocated to a Unit, you must report as / instructed. / When the harvest season commences you could apply for leave / for that period, to your Commanding Officer, who will consider your / case on its merits. / Yours faithfully, / (indecipherable) / Lieut. / For G.C. Curlewis. Capt. / Area Officer 28B”
Sapper Kingsley Charles MOHR WX 26433 enlisted at Guildford on 9 August 1941 in the 2/1 AUST. MECH.EQPT. COY. He served in Australia for 1495 days and served overseas for 625 days in New Guinea, including Morotai and British Nth Borneo. MOHR returned to Australia on 16 December 1945 and was discharged on 24 January 1946 at Karrakatta. He returned to live in Denmark, Western Australia
