With the outbreak of the First World War Raymond Parker WARBURTON was employed as an Electrical Engineer aboard troop transport ships. Raymond took up service between 01/12/1915 and 09/09/1917, first serving on the HMAT Pera and then from 19/12/1917 to 13/06/1919 he served on the ‘SS Shropshire’.
