LACE, BOBBIN, HANDKERCHIEF
c. 1900A very pleasing handkerchief with an unusually wide hand made bobbin lace edging. The edging consists of 3 rows of triangles each encircling a flower with 12 petal like tallies , a scalloped edging , and triangles attached to a small central square of fine muslin.Within the small central square is a square of drawn thread work connecting four geometrical heart shapes with drawn thread work of three flowers within. The bobbin lace edging is the dominant feature.
This is definitely a handkerchief for “show”, not for use!
