KNITTING, TEA CLOTH
This white linen teacloth was one of several items donated from three generations of the donor’s family.
The attractive hand knitted edging on the teacloth illustrates one of the many hand-worked techniques by the ladies of items in their home. It was used in South Australia in early 20th century before coming to WA in 1965.
A fine scalloped knitted edge, 60 mm width. The hem is machine stitched emulating antique hem stitching,
