c. 1939World War Two era Royal Air Force sterling silver sweetheart brooch.
It features detailed outspread pilot wings flanking a voided central wreath containing the letters 'RAF', surmounted by a King's Crown.
The reverse of the brooch is plain with the exception of the number '925' (indicating sterling silver) impressed into the back of the crown.
It has a pin clasp with rotating swivel lock for attachment.
This sweetheart brooch is one of many produced and sold to servicemen to give to their loved ones during wartime.
