Scorecards
Within the archive database this topic provides a common link for all scorecard items.
Scorecards have been historically printed to allow players to enter their golf score. The card formats were altered to suit a number of factors including:
- the course being played (Mens, Ladies, and other tees)
- changes to the course layout
- changes to the scoring system
- the type of golf competition being played - etc.
At the time of preparing this Subject the archive had 36 unique examples of the scorecards. Most of these were not printed with a date. Determining their date of applicability was therefore an indirect process whereby the content of the card was matched against club and golf historical information. Some of this provided the exact year whilst others have been classified as "circa" that year.
