SCORECARD - MEN & WOMEN CIRCA 1974
c. 1974This scorecard is for both "Members" (Men) and "Associates" (Women). It has been determined as being applicable in circa 1974.
An A.C.R. rating of 71 is detailed for the men's course. This is the first chronological example with a men's course rating specified. The rating corresponds with records of a response from the W.A.G.A. after the course was surveyed by the Western Australian Institute of Technology in late 1973.
Other card features that assist in determining its date of applicability:
- The card is the first example to be printed using two text colours: red and green on a cream background with a matt finish.
- The women's card has a shaded light red background to distinguish it from the men’s.
- Distances are in metres
- Club address is Bateman
- Four local rules are listed. Previous cards used a single local rule statement.
- Handicaps are shown for Bogey and Stableford competitions.
- Separate Match Play indices are provided for men and ladies
The scanned image of this card shows the:
- front cover
- opened-out view of the back and front covers
- inside pages used for scoring (red shaded sections poorly defined by scanner).
