Overview

A length of 2.5cm steel customized as a cutting tool. The base has a section cut narrower to fit into a handle (1.5cms). The top section has been curved, and the end ground down one side,and angled, to form a cutting blade

Historical information

Jack was a prolific wood turner, who worked from his studio in Wungong, turning out many pieces of sculpture. Many of his tools were either made by him or customized to perform a particular function.

HIGH
Jack de Voss (1942-2017) was a prolific self taught and international known wood turner, who worked from his studio in Wungong, turning out many pieces of sculpture. He won a variety of awards for his work and his work feature in a variety of public and private collections. His work was inspired by his love of the Western Australian bush and his faith in God.
