The Armadale Police and Citizens Youth Club was formed in April 1980 and operated out of the Armadale Recreation Centre, later the Armadale Arena, on Townley Street until 2017. The organisation ran a variety of sporting activities for children as a way to give a productive way to use their leisure time and to 'develop different aspects of citizenship'.
