A long, circular, hardwood handle, tapering towards the base, with five concentric rings equally spaced, three times along the handle. and a copper coloured ring around the top.It has a rectangular blade, ground to a bevelled edge and angled to a point

Historical information

Jack was a prolific wood turner, who worked from his studio in Wungong, turning out many pieces of sculpture. Many of his tools were either made by him or customized to perform a particular function.

Statement of significance

HIGH
Jack de Voss (1942-2017) was a prolific self taught and international known wood turner, who worked from his studio in Wungong, turning out many pieces of sculpture. He won a variety of awards for his work and his work feature in a variety of public and private collections. His work was inspired by his love of the Western Australian bush and his faith in God.
