FLAG: SHENTON PARK SCOUTS GROUP, GREEN WITH BLACK WRITING

Overview

From a collection of three flags donated together.
Flag is rectangular and made of green cotton headcloth. Flag is machine hemmed and has a wide hem on left side through which a rope or pole can be threaded. Flag has a purple cotton square sewn in the centre bearing a white fleur-de-lis, encircled by a white rope tied in a reef knot. This emblem is on both sides of each flag. The flag has the words 'Shenton Park' in black velour stick-on letters on the upper half of the flag. Green cord loops at top corners

Historical information

The Shenton Park Scout Group was established in 1924 and went into recess in February 1993. Flags were displayed in the Murchison St. headquarters until 1993.
