Overview

Two foundation stones on the Shenton Park Child Centre in Onslow Road, Subiaco. The top stone reads: "Shenton Park Child Centre opened 13th March 1976 by Her worship The Mayor of Subiaco Evelyn H. Parker JP. This building was erected by the City of Subiaco in replacement of the original child centre, the Foundation Stone of which appears below". The lower stone reads: "Subiaco Infant Health Association. In celebration of the centenary of the State, this stone was laid by Lionel T. Boas, Esq, JP, president of the Association, 12th May 1929. The health of mother and child should be the first consideration of the State". The foundation stones are in white marble with black print.
