COAT HANGER: WOODEN, JAMES FAMILY
c. 1920Wooden coat hanger combining the curved upper hanger for coats with a trouser or skirt hanger below. The latter consists of two flat pieces of wood with slight indentations at the centre. The wooden bars are pressed together by a simple metal clip. They are attached to the upper hanger by means of the same metal wire used in the clip.
Mrs Grace James moved into 224 Nicholson Rd. after her marriage and lived there from 1923 to 1993.
