CANVAS WORK, CANVAS
A DMC needlepoint canvas picture worked in Upright Gobelin stitch rather than tent or continental stitch which is common in Australia. Worked on Penelope canvas with 6 strands of DMC stranded cotton.
Rural scene, a cottage forecourt with chickens in the foreground.
Stitching of the picture is incomplete.
The stamped picture has several markings.
At the top centre - COLLECTION horse motif D’ART: and on RHS - DMC486: and LHS - DMC 117.
At base, down each side, a palette of colours and their DMC numbers listed.
At the base, printing is 40:50 Coton 100% FOR BEST RESULTS USED ONLY D.M.C 10.103
