GOLD WORK, TRIMMING
An exquisite edging of Indian Zardosi goldwork, a section from the bottom of a sari. The most beautiful of Sari's had very heavy decoration at one end. When worn this panel would be folded over the wearers shoulder to show off the quality of the embroidery or decoration.
This very heavily hand embroidered panel, worked on three different coloured backgrounds shows the finesse and expertise of fine Zardozi workers who embroiderered this panel.
A Sari is 9 yards long and the embroidery would run for about 4 of those yards along the bottom hem.
